WARREN, Ark. – A Warren pastor facing nine counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child was found not guilty by a jury on Oct. 31.
Court records indicate that the verdict was reached after a two-day trial. The 87-year-old Pastor Rocky Lelton Goodwin was released on a $150,000 bond pending trial.
Goodwin was facing three to 10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000 if he had been found guilty.
Evangelistic International Ministries posted to its Facebook page on Nov. 1 that Goodwin had been reinstated as Chief Executive Officer by the ministry’s board.
Goodwin was charged in August 2024 following an investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
