NEPHI — A 26-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a weekend ATV crash in the Little Sahara Recreation Area.
The man was injured Sunday when his ATV rolled while in the Sand Mountain area of the region. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, a statement from the Utah Department of Natural Resources said.
The man was transported via helicopter to a hospital, but died Sunday evening. His identity has not been released.
The department is investigating whether alcohol use was a factor in the crash, said Chase Pili, spokesman for the Department of Natural Resources' law enforcement division.
