Not just the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train , the Narendra Modi Government also has a plan for 240-km long bullet train network between Amritsar and Jammu. This will be a big gift for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) after the Vande Bharat services that started recently for the Kashmir Valley.

The National High-Speed Rail Authority has invited bids for a ‘Final survey for alignment and aerial survey’ for the proposed Amritsar-Jammu High speed rail corridor (HSR). CNN-NEWS18 has a copy of the document. Both Amritsar and Jammu are key commercial centres in Punjab and J&K respectively.
