Chris D'Entremont in the House of Commons in May.
Nova Scotia MP Chris d’Entremont has resigned from the Conservative caucus and the party.
Mr. d’Entremont informed Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre he was leaving in a letter on Tuesday, according to a copy of the letter seen by The Globe and Mail.
Mr. d’Entremont submitted his letter after telling Politico that he was considering crossing the floor to the Liberals.
He resigned the same day the minority Liberal government tabled its first budget since Prime Minister Mark Carney won the spring election.
