BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -The Downtown Redevelopment Authority announced Tuesday it will dissolve and transfer its popular concert series to new organizations following the death of its leader in December 2024.

Concerts in the Park, which has provided Friday night entertainment in downtown Bowling Green for decades, will be under SKyPAC’s leadership moving forward. Winterfest, another concert series, will be managed by the Warren County Public Library.

The DRA made the decision after the passing of Ron Murphy, who served as the organization’s director and driving force behind both concert series.
