LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Emergency crews responded to a reported plane crash and large fire at a Louisville, Kentucky, airport on Tuesday.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said police and fire personnel responded to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport for the reported plane crash shortly after 5 p.m.
“Please pray for the pilots, crew and everyone affected,” Beshear said.
UPS said in a brief statement the incident involved a company aircraft.
Injuries have been reported, but the severity of them is unknown.
A shelter-in-place was issued for locations within 5 miles of the airport.
