Andy Richter is getting candid about his looks.

After sharing he's lost weight during season 34 of Dancing With the Stars , the comedian reflected on the public fascination with his body size throughout his career, dating back to his 1993 debut as Conan O’Brien ’s sidekick on Late Night with Conan O’Brien .

“One of my standard lines is, ‘I didn’t know there were so many ways to call someone fat,’” he said on the Nov. 4 episode of SiriusXM’s The Three Questions with Andy Richter podcast. “‘Cherubic.’ ‘Rotund.’ It was galling to me at the time.”

While the 59-year-old noted that he would use his appearance as a “comedy trope,” he humorously pointed out that his pundits couldn’t seem to focus on any of his other qualities.
