NEW YORK (PIX11) — New York City residents have hit their voting locations in droves, dating back to the early voting period.
Beginning on Saturday, Oct. 25, New Yorkers have continued to show their interest in their local elections, including the race for New York City mayor.
How many people have voted?
Over 1.8 million people have voted since the start of early voting, according to the Board of Elections.
Over 1.74 million voters have checked in at their polling locations, plus the 100,000 mail-in ballots accounted for by the BOE.
Breakdown by borough
As of 6 p.m. — • Manhattan: 444,439 • Brooklyn: 571,857 • Queens: 421,176 • Bronx: 187,399 • Staten Island: 123,827
Polls close at 9 p.m. in New York, and election results will begin to flood in afterwards.
