LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A UPS plane caught fire and exploded at the Louisville airport Tuesday evening.
According to the FAA, the plane crashed around 5:15 p.m. while taking off from Louisville's airport. Officials said it was an MD-11 plane headed to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Louisville Metro Police Department said there are injuries reported in the crash, but they have not said how many.
According to UPS, there were three crewmembers on board.
