NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mild and comfortable weather continues through the middle of the week, but we’ll start to notice a few changes as we move toward the weekend. Afternoon highs will stay in the mid to upper 70s through Wednesday, with plenty of sunshine and calm conditions thanks to a broad ridge of high pressure overhead. The only short-term hiccup will be the chance for some patchy dense fog late tonight into early Wednesday morning, especially north of I-10/12 and west of I-55, including areas near McComb, Baton Rouge, and possibly Houma.
By Thursday and Friday, winds shift more from the south, helping to pull in a bit more Gulf moisture. That means mornings will feel milder, and we could see a few isolated “streamer” showers drift inland late Friday night into early Saturday. Most o
