A wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 6:04 p.m. valid from Wednesday 4 p.m. until Thursday 1 p.m. for St. Lawrence and Franklin counties.
"Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected," explains the weather service. "There is some uncertainty on the placement of stronger winds depending on the low track. Stronger gusts across parts of northern New York and northern Vermont will be conditional on the track."
"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," comments the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
