The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program applications will be accepted online at thda.org/liheap beginning November 1.

All applicants are required to have an active email address to apply.

The LIHEAP assistance amount will range from $174 to $750 depending on household energy burden. LIHEAP assists low-income households, primarily those who pay a high proportion of household income on home energy, in meeting their immediate energy needs. LIHEAP provides direct payments to utility companies on behalf of approved applicants. Applicants are urged to continue paying their bills during the processing period as to avoid additional penalties/fees.
