LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - The Harlan County girls cross country team placed inside the top four at the KHSAA Class AA State Cross Country meet. This is the team’s third consecutive year to place in the top four.
In 2023, the Black Bears finished in second place, that was followed by a third place appearance in 2024 and a fourth place finish in this years’ meet.
“Y’all competed hard and represented our county so well,” said Head Coach Ryan Vitatoe. “I’m so proud of them. They are a special group of kids.”
The team includes: Head Coach Ryan Vitatoe, Assistant Coach Erica Moore, Ariel Farley, Autumn Farley, Sienna Banks, Julionna Johnson, Andrea Napier, Preslee Hensley, Suzy Mumford, Lauren Lewis, Kiera Roberts, Gracie Roberts, and assistant coaches Jacob Carroll, David Lee and Derek Pitt.
