A traffic stop in Simcoe has led to cannabis and weapons charges laid against two Norfolk County residents.
While investigating a report of a suspicious person possibly entering vehicles in the vicinity of Lee Avenue and Norris Street in Simcoe just after 11 p.m. on Monday, November 3 a Norfolk OPP officer was alerted by the cruiser’s Automated Licence Plate Recognition system, to a vehicle nearby.

While speaking with the driver and passenger, a crossbow and firearm were observed inside the vehicle. Both men were placed under arrest, and a subsequent search resulted in the seizure of dried cannabis and other cannabis products.
