Cher, 79, shrugged off criticism over her 40-year age gap with her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards , 39, in her “CBS Mornings” interview on Tuesday.

“Whatever,” she told interviewer Gayle King, responding to her potential critics. “They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast.”

The singer added that age hasn’t been an issue with Edwards either, saying that the music executive tells her, “You know, you get older, but your spirit is younger.”‘

The singer gushed over their three-year romance as she shared how they “laugh all the time,”

“I just love him,” she raved. “I think he’s beautiful. He’s really talented. He’s one of the most talented persons I’ve ever met.”
