COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) - After a violent clash with protestors in July led to an officer being placed on administrative duty pending a use-of-force investigation, the Covington police chief released their findings.

The Covington Police Department says it has concluded its use-of-force investigation into an officer following the incident on the Roebling Bridge July 17.

Covington police officials say they determined that the use of force by all officers followed the department’s established procedures, except for Officer Zachary Stayton.

Stayton will be put on a 30-day unpaid suspension and be required to complete remedial training before returning to duty.
