After record rainfall flooded people’s homes and streets, cleanup efforts are still ongoing.

“We were stuck here for about three, four days before we decided to trek through the water to evacuate to my parents’ house,” Ashley Watkins said.

She said she walked through flooded streets in Titusville with her 2-year-old daughter to get help when the child had an asthma attack last week.

“It took over a week for our street to clear, and as you can see, it’s still not even clear. It was partially under construction when the rain came down, so that made it even worse,” Watkins said. “We’ve got quite a lot of potholes, quite a lot of mud, so I think it maybe could have been handled a little bit better.”
