CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A theft investigation at a Morris Road business on October 9 ended with the arrest of a Circleville woman who also faces additional local charges after resisting officers during her arrest.
According to a Circleville Police report, officers were dispatched to the store around 7:45 p.m. after staff reported that a woman in a black hoodie had been seen placing items in her purse and leaving without paying . Witnesses identified a 1999 tan Buick LeSabre as the suspect’s vehicle, which was later stopped by responding officers.
During the stop, officers identified the passenger, 40-year-old Brandy Bivens , who was found to have an active warrant . Police say Bivens was taken into custody but soon became combative, slipping one of her handcuffs and refusing to c
