The inmate, Harry Cooper, 26, of Texarkana, Ark., was found by detention center staff on the floor early Friday morning during routine security checks and inmate escort.
Staff members called for assistance and began life-saving measures. The on-site nurse, LifeNet EMS and Miller County deputies were called to help.
Despite their efforts, Cooper could not be revived.
