Is the grand bargain about to become a grand federal-provincial understanding?
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith hopes key energy projects will make it onto the updated federal list of nation-building projects to be fast-tracked for approval by the time the Grey Cup kicks off in Winnipeg.
In fact, Smith says her government is working to reach an understanding with the Carney government to make progress on key energy issues — including a new oil pipeline proposal — and would like to see an agreement in place by the time the CFL championship game starts on Nov. 16.
