MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man wanted in connection to an abduction in Missouri has been arrested in Poinsett County, Arkansas.

The Poinsett County Sheriff's Office said the suspect was taken into custody in Lepanto on Tuesday afternoon.

Blake Patrick, 18, of Millersville, was booked in the Poinsett County Jail for theft by receiving.

Earlier in the day, the Harrisburg Police Department warned the public that the vehicle used in an abduction in Missouri had been discovered abandoned in town.

In a Facebook post, the police department stated that the suspect was believed to be armed, dangerous, possibly still in the area, and asked residents not to approach this individual.

"We appreciate everyone who assisted us in apprehending him. Thank you!" said Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder.
