Three crew members were on board a UPS plane headed from Louisville to Honolulu when it crashed Tuesday evening, Nov. 4, near the airport.

Was anyone hurt in Louisville plane crash?

Earlier in the evening, Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Matthew Sanders said injuries were reported after the accident occurred.

In a news conference later in the evening, Gov. Andy Beshear called the event "catastrophic." He said there were at least three fatalities, but he expects the number to grow.

Beshear also said there were at least 11 other injuries, but, "again, I think that number will get larger."

"We do not, at the moment, have the status of the crew," Beshear said in the news conference .
