No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic outlasted Alejandro Tabilo 7-6 (3), 6-1 in the Round of 16 at the Hellenic Championship on Tuesday in Athens.
In a neat coincidence, the Serbian Djokovic moved to Athens earlier this year, the same year that the ATP 250 tournament formerly held in Belgrade was relocated to Greece. Djokovic was right at home as he hit 13 aces without a double fault and never lost his serve against his Chilean opponent.
No. 6 seed Nuno Borges of Portugal rallied past qualifier Eliot Spizzirri 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, while Sebastian Korda charged back to beat Bosnia's Damir Dzumhur 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Also, the Round of 32 concluded as Marcos Giron beat Spain's Pedro Martinez 6-4, 6-1, German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann topped Bulgaria's Ivan Ivanov 6-4, 6-2 and Argentina's Tomas Martin Etcheverr
