China-based lifestyle retailer Miniso, known for its its blind box toys and collaborations with brands such as Disney and Sanrio, will open a new Twin Cities store this weekend.

The store at the Woodbury Lakes shopping center, which opens Saturday, Nov. 8, becomes Miniso's first outpost in the east metro.

The retailer opened its first Minnesota store at St. Cloud's Crossroads Center late last year and quickly expanded to the Twin Cities area, with locations at the Eden Prairie Center and Coon Rapids' Riverdale Village.

Miniso fans are also awaiting the opening of the company's upcoming Mall of America store, which the mall said in May would "open soon."
