OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma Police Department and Animal Welfare released an update on an animal cruelty case involving a horse.

The horse's name is Doc, and according to police and Animal Welfare, Doc was found in deplorable conditions and required immediate care.

Police say Doc was adopted by one of their detectives and has been nursed back to health.
