An 82nd-minute goal from Luis Munoz propelled Grace’s men’s soccer team past Marian 1-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday in Winona Lake.

The No. 20 Lancers (12-4-3) advance to the semifinals of the tournament where Grace will play at second-seed Indiana Wesleyan on Friday.

Grace finished the game with a 15-10 shot advantage. Marian had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Munoz fired off nine shots, nearly equaling Marian’s total by himself.

The winning goal came after a patient build-up of attack, Grace possessed the ball just outside the penalty box. Juan Garcia and Munoz connected on a give-and-go, carving out space in the penalty box for Munoz’s shot. Munoz tucked his shot inside the left goalpost.
