One of the most outrageous changes in the Harry Potter movies was actually so much better than the book alternative. Of course, the Warner Bros films made many controversial adjustments to the story, some avoidable, others not. All these years later, and we tend to simply shake our heads over cut storylines and needlessly dramatic scenes (like the Burrow burning down, for some reason).
