PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) - Steelers fans were holding a funeral for the team's defense ahead of Sunday's game against Indianapolis. With arguably its best game of the season, the unit resurrected with Jalen Ramsey serving as the heartbeat of the defense.
"Everybody on defense played great," Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said. "Got to give [Ramsey] a lot of credit for his leadership."
On Saturday, Ramsey gave an emotional speech to the team to play with an edge. They did just that on Sunday.
With DeShon Elliott, Jabrill Peppers and Chuck Clark all out, Ramsey led the charge by playing safety, a position he had to primarily slide into out of desperation.
