BREWSTER, Wash. — The family of Annette Gorr says they haven’t had a chance to process the pain of losing a mother, an aunt, after she was killed in a crash over the weekend in Okanogan County .

Washington State Patrol says Gorr died after being hit by three different cars while she was walking along the roadway on US 97.

"It just happened all very quickly," said Amy Smith, Gorr's daughter. "And I just had a feeling it was her because of her commute."

Smith says walking that stretch of the roadway was not new for her mother since she lived right next to the highway with Smith. She says Gorr walked mostly everywhere since she didn’t have a license.

Deputies say a car was traveling northbound when they attempted to avoid hitting Gorr, but could not avoid her, and then pulled over. WSP
