Diego Salgado posted a goal and an assist to lead third-seeded Dunellen to a 3-2 win over 14th-seeded Thrive Charter in the first round of the Central, Group 1 tournament, in Dunellen.

The Destroyers (13-6-1) will face sixth-seeded Bound Brook in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Matteo Paredes and Daniel Salgado also scored in the win.

Andrew Nieves made 10 saves for Dunellen.

Thrive Charter ended the season with a 9-8-2 record.
