Veteran goaltender Tristan Jarry and breakout scorer Justin Brazeau were placed on injured reserve Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced.
Penguins depth forward Noel Acciari joined them on injured reserve after exiting with an upper-body injury in the opening minutes of Monday’s 4-3 road loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jarry’s injury is undisclosed. He played the entire game Monday and stopped 16 shots in his seventh start of the season, which lowered his overall save percentage to .911.
Brazeau missed Pittsburgh’s last two games with an upper-body injury. His 12 points in 12 appearances alongside future Hall of Fame center Evgeni Malkin put Brazeau on pace to smash his previous career high of 22 points, established last season with the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild.
