INDIANAPOLIS — State Attorney General Todd Rokita wants President Donald Trump to add Indiana to the list of states he plans to send the National Guard to.
Rokita made his desires clear in a post on X, where he wrote "President Trump should absolutely add Indianapolis to his list of cities to send the National Guard to."
Rokita's tweet was a repost of a weekend crime breakdown Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police President Rick Snyder put out. Snyder's post indicated at least 14 people were shot and four others were stabbed in Indianapolis last weekend.
"Another violent weekend in our state's capital," Rokita wrote in his post. "It’s shameful that this is a regular occurrence and even more shameful that the leadership here refuses to do anything about it. Hoosiers deserve to feel safe
