SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - It’s a tracking device designed to help you locate lost keys or a wallet, but one local woman claims she discovered an Apple AirTag in her car. Now she’s warning others to be cautious.
AirTags are small, Bluetooth-enabled tracking devices made by Apple, but police say they have seen cases like this before, where people use them for the wrong reasons.
A woman, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that her daughter received an alert indicating an AirTag was moving with her, prompting them to file a complaint with the Sulphur Police Department.
“Ever since Saturday, Saturday night, I checked my door about three or four times before going to bed,” the woman said.
