PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Former Beavers baseball star and now Cleveland Guardians left fielder Steven Kwan earned his fourth consecutive American League Rawlings Gold Glove Award over the weekend.

This season, Kwan led all fielders in defensive runs saved (22) and was first in the MLB in outfield assists (13). He becomes only the second Cleveland outfielder to win at least four Gold Gloves. Kwan was drafted 163rd overall by Cleveland in 2018 in the fifth round.

During his final season at OSU, Kwan was a 2017 All-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention, batted .331, hit six doubles, one triple, one home run and 18 RBI with eight stolen bases. He was also the Corvallis Regional Most Outstanding Player and made the Corvallis Regional All-Tournament Team.
