With nearly 60% of the vote counted as of 11:30 p.m., incumbent at-large Councilors Ruthzee Louijeune, Erin Murphy and Julia Mejia are cruising to re-election. In the battle for the fourth at-large seat, incumbent Henry Santana is leading former Dorchester councilor Frank Baker.
In the district races, all the incumbents who ran are easily winning re-election - in the cases of Sharon Durkan (District 8) and John FitzGerald (District 3), because nobody ran against them.
In District 7, which has no incumbent because Tania Fernandes Anderson had that whole federal kickback thing going on, Miniard Culpepper is so far leading Said Ahmed.
Mayor Michelle Wu also won re-election, but since her opponent dropped out a couple days after the preliminary, that's the day's least shocking election news
