Austin police seek newborn taken by female suspect, AMBER Alert issued

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police issued an AMBER Alert on Tuesday night for a missing 50-day-old boy who they said was taken by a woman.

The child, a Black male, was last seen around 7:30 p.m. Monday at 11105 N. I-35 northbound service road in North Austin. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Kayla Washington, is a Black female who was last seen wearing a dark navy shirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact the Austin Police Department.
