MARLBOROUGH, N.Y. — Republican incumbent Town Board members Sherida Porpiglia Sessa and Emanuel “Manny” Cauchi on Tuesday won another pair of terms with 1,413 and 1,230 votes, respectively.
They defeated Democratic first-time candidates Dan Heavens, who received 1,160 votes, and Don Smerdon, who got 1,130.
Uncontested races were won by incumbent Supervisor Scott Corcoran with 1,570 votes; incumbent Highway Superintendent John Alonge with 1,815 votes; and Clerk/Tax Collector candidate Danielle Cherubini with 1,779 votes. Each was on the Republican/Conservative lines.
A proposition to extend the term of supervisor from two years to four years was overwhelmingly defeated in a 1,583-890 vote.
