A special education teaching aide at Celina High School has been charged after she was allegedly impaired while on campus on Tuesday, police said.

Celina police were called to the high school on Tuesday afternoon, to a report of an employee who "appeared impaired." Following an investigation, police arrested 46-year-old Micheale Clark of Celina.

Clark is charged with child endangerment and is currently in the Collin County Jail on a $35,000 bond, court records show.

In a statement to CBS News Texas, Celina ISD said in part, "The District complied with the law and immediately notified the Texas Department of Family Protective Services and the Texas Education Agency State Board for Educator Certification, and we will cooperate with the Celina PD in any continuing investigations.
