A handful of area Class 4A volleyball teams continued their winning ways, while others are saving their best play for the right time of the season as the area round took place on Monday and Tuesday.

Sunnyvale has been state-ranked all season long, and it rolled to a 25-21, 25-21, 25-7 sweep of Canton in a 4A Division 2 area round match at Kaufman High School.
