AMSTERDAM — All three incumbent Democrats in the Common Council maintained a hold on the electorate in various Ward Alderman races for the City of Amsterdam, according to election results reporting from Montgomery County.

In the City of Amsterdam, three Alderman positions were contested in this election in the 1st, 3rd and 5th wards. In each of those three races, Democratic Aldermen were running against Republican and Conservative opposition.
