Kundapur, Nov 5: In a daring daylight theft, miscreants broke the window of a parked car and escaped with Rs 2 lac in cash at Tallur near Kundapur on Tuesday evening.

The victim, identified as Gundu Shetty, a contractor and resident of Kenchanur, had withdrawn Rs 2 lac from a bank in Tallur and kept the cash inside his car. He then parked the vehicle in front of a residential complex near Tallur town and went to his rented house. When he returned after about 10–15 minutes, he found the car window shattered and the cash missing.

According to reports, the culprits broke the right-side window of the car and stole the money kept in the dashboard. The theft occurred in a busy area near Tallur Junction, which has residential apartments, commercial complexe
