NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Election Commission of India, claiming that the Haryana Assembly elections were marred by significant vote tampering. In a press conference, he stated that approximately 25 lakh votes were compromised, which includes 5.21 lakh duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid voters, and 19.26 lakh bulk voters. He emphasized that one in eight voters on the electoral list in Haryana is fake.
"We have the word 'H' Files, and this is about how an entire state has been stolen. We suspected that this is not happening in individual constituencies, but at the state and national levels," Rahul said. He expressed concerns raised by Congress candidates in Haryana, who reported irregularities that contradicted their expectations.
Rahul accused the Election Commission and the BJP of conspiring to turn a predicted Congress victory into a loss. "I want the young people, GenZ of India to understand this clearly because this is about your future. I am questioning the EC and the democratic process in India with 100% proof," he stated.
He also highlighted a bizarre case involving a woman, identified as a Brazilian model, who allegedly voted 22 times at 10 different booths under various names. "Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from?" he questioned, adding that there are over 1.24 lakh voters with fake photos in the Haryana electoral list.
Rahul Gandhi reiterated that his claims are made with full responsibility as the opposition leader, asserting that the postal vote results were unusually different from other voting results in Haryana. He also pointed out the confident demeanor of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini shortly after the polls, despite exit polls indicating a Congress win. This situation continues to develop as the Congress party seeks clarity on the electoral process in Haryana.
