Remembrance Day is on November 11, 2025 and is observed to commemorate the sacrifices of those who have served in the line of duty.

The day is marked by a two minute silence held across the country at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

Towns and cities up and down the country will host events and parades on Sunday, November 9 , 2025. Many also show their support by purchasing a poppy, which can be worn in the day and weeks running up to Remembrance Day.

This year, Manchester City Council has announced there will be two services held in the city centre to mark both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day on November 11.
