Srinagar, Nov 05 : The inaugural Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL), a privately-run T20 cricket tournament, has collapsed abruptly, resulting in significant financial losses for its primary accommodation provider, the Radisson Blu hotel in Srinagar.
Speaking to Kashmir Convener, the hotel owner, Mushtaq Chaya, said his company is pursuing legal action after the tournament’s organizers left the city without settling outstanding payments.
Chaya stated that while a partial payment was made, a substantial balance of ₹51 lakh remains owed for services rendered. “The organizers did pay a certain amount; there is no doubt about that. However, a balance of 51 lakh rupees is still owed to my company,” Chaya stated.
