The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday hit back at Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi after he alleged large-scale voter fraud in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, including claims that a Brazilian model’s photograph appeared multiple times in voter rolls under different names.

The remarks came after Gandhi accused the BJP and the Election Commission of “systemic manipulation” in Haryana’s voter lists, claiming that 25 lakh fake votes, about 12 per cent of the electorate, were cast.

He said his team had found over 5.21 lakh duplicate entries, calling it a “planned operation” to turn a Congress victory into defeat.
