Jagatsinghpur: Veteran Odia Jatra artist Devi Prasad Rath, widely known by his stage name ‘Mama’, passed away on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest. He was 71.

After beginning his journey as a child artist in plays, Rath had a distinguished career spanning over four decades in the Odia jatra industry. Known for his versatility, he performed in over 100 productions and remained one of the most respected figures in the performing arts circle in the state.
