BLOOMINGTON — Nevaeh Caffey played with an impressive swagger for a true freshman on Tuesday night in the Indiana women’s basketball team’s season opener.
Caffey made her collegiate debut as part of IU’s starting lineup in an 80-46 win over Lipscomb . She became just the second true freshmen to start the season opener for IU coach Teri Moren since 2018-19.
She was one of only two players who played more than 30 minutes and didn’t look out of place for a single second.
