The New Bedford Whaling Museum will host a unique musical event from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 7. The evening will feature Ian Legge, a punk cellist and Berklee College of Music graduate, as part of the museum's First Friday event series.

The event will showcase a blend of classical and punk music, with performances moving between galleries, according to a community announcement. The night will begin with string arrangements by Legge and The Punk Cellist Quartet, followed by a jam session with the Legge family. The highlight of the evening will be a punk show where Legge will perform songs from his debut cover album, along with other local punk acts.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the program and reception starting at 6 p.m. Attendees can enjoy light bites and a cash bar. The event is for adults
