Srinagar, Nov 05: Mushtaq Chayya, owner of the Radisson Hotel Srinagar, on Wednesday criticised the organisers of the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL) after the tournament was cancelled and its organisers reportedly fled, leaving unpaid bills and accusations of fraud.
Speaking to media persons, Chayya said, “We were told a big, reputable company was coming to give our children a platform to showcase their talent.”
“Many outside cricketers had come. We had high hopes, but later it was a big disappointment. They have ruined their own credibility. What could we do? They have taken our money, money belonging to vendors, to the children, to hoteliers. In particular, our funds are now with them,” he added.
