A Glasgow Labour councillor forgot to turn off his camera when he went to the bathroom during a committee meeting . ‌

Bailie Hanif Raja could be seen sitting on the toilet before a colleague intervened . ‌

The blunder came during a meeting of the planning committee earlier this week . ‌

Councillors were set to discuss an application relating to a battery storage system.

But the webcam showed footage of Raja, a Labour veteran, paying a visit to the bathroom with the camera live.

He placed his laptop on the floor, loosened his trousers and sat on the toilet. ‌

One colleague interrupted: “Before we start, Bailie Raja are you aware that your camera is live?”

The footage has been circulating on social media.
